Teacher-Child Interaction Program (TCIP)

Who:   Preschool & Kindergarten teachers who work with children exhibiting disruptive
behaviors, peer conflicts, language difficulties, sensory issues, and mild cases of Autism and
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum.

WHAT: Preschool teachers with children who display a variety of problematic behaviors. It is
developed from Parent-Child Interaction Therapy principals, — supporting relationship building
and attachment theory.  The structure of the program provides 6 hours of skill building training
with the teacher followed by 4 to 8 in-class coaching sessions with teacher and selected child.

1st Relationships are the specialized mental health
treatment programs developed by CCS for children,
families and teachers.  These programs are research-
based, proven effective methods for reducing
children's aggression and behavior problems,
increasing relational and social competence at home
and at school, as well helping teachers and parents in
managing their children’s unique needs
